TJD Welcomes New Compensation Consultant

Frankie Price-Stern

My Jewish heritage husband, Mel, introduced me to Unitarianism 22 years ago. The Affirmations really synched with what I believed, and I finally joined a fellowship 15 years ago. I basically believe the world's religions are the various paths chosen by each of us to reach into our spiritual center, and it is that spiritual center that gives us wise direction in our lives. I believe spiritualism is a lifelong journey, and the inclusiveness and political and social activism of our UUism is very important to me.

Mel and I both worked for IBM (I've Been Moved) for about 30 years and moved 8 times including three years in Paris (Yes, there is a UU fellowship in Paris!). Most of my work was in worldwide strategy development and included being part of the small team that announced the original IBM personal computer in 1981. Since I took early retirement in 1996 at the ripe age of 52, I have enjoyed my architectural stained glass work. And I got a lot of satisfaction from facilitating all kinds of projects at my church. This work allowed me to reform the management, marketing, and strategic planning skills I learned in IBM and make them useful for the nonprofit sector.

I am delighted to join the TJ District team and to work with Wendell Putney as your compensation consultants.
