General Assembly 2003

General Assembly (GA) 2003 took place in Boston, MA, home of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The Assembly boasted a record attendance of 7,551 people.

For the duration of General Assembly, the Hynes Convention Center served as epicenter to music, workshops, lectures, plenaries, and plenty of conversation. Connected to three hotels via an indoor walkway and mall, the Hynes, hotels and walkways became seas of UUs, with tides flowing in and out to the rhythm of the events.

No matter what your interest, there was programming designed to captivate. Workshops on everything from Church Office Basics to Economic Globalization to Embracing Life with the Heart of a Buddha stimulated the mind. Morning and evening worship services invigorated the soul, the highlight being the Service of the Living Tradition conducted at the Fleet Center. Evening Coffeehouses and Dances nourished the body. The Children’s Choir which performed at the Closing Ceremony warmed the heart, while the work done during the plenaries ignited our passion for our faith.

For a full recap of GA, including workshop synopses, videos of the major programming and information on how to get audio and video tapes of programs, go to www.uua.org/ga.

See you in Long Beach!
