TJD Board Retreat - August 2003
The weather was beautiful and the Mountain view spectacular as usual. Two and a half days working through a dense agenda made for some tough work, but little time to play. Without a doubt it was one of our more intense retreats. We were able to get a lot of work done while pinpointing some necessary growing.
Overview of Accomplishments:
- Orientation of board members
- Installation ceremony for new board members
- Discussion of reorganization of Program Consultant's position
- Finalized covenant between the Mountain and TJD Board
- Review of District Executive's (DE) evaluation
- Board and DE renewed their covenant
- Strategic planning for growth, RE, programming and fiscal
- Approved recommendation from DE to solicit proposal from consultant for governance transition.
- The Board affirmed the work of the newly organized Growth and Development Council.
