Your Wild(e) Trustee’s Report by Ed Wilde, UUA Trustee
The Board meeting was moderated by Gini Courter, the Interim Moderator. The following items of interest occurred at the meeting.
--President Sinkford announced that our very own Rosemary Bray McNatt will preach at the Service of the Living Tradition at the Long Beach General Assembly (GA) this summer.
--Secretary Wayne Arnason reminded the Board that the certification process of GA is being done online this year. To certify, a congregation needs to go online to uua.org to the Certification and Information Center. First request a password and then enter the membership numbers. Your congregation's information will show up on http://www.uua.org/ congregation immediately.
--Ft. Lauderdale was selected as the site for the 2008 GA.
--The Board formed a Task Force to deal with the issues raised by Carol Agate and others in the Open UUA group.
--The Journey Towards Wholeness Transformation Team will focus on the assessment part of its very ambitious mission for the next two years. During this time the other parts of the mission - plan, coordinate and guide - will be fulfilled by the administration.
--Demand for information about the "Uncommon Denomination" advertising materials from congregations continues to be strong. The first level of materials is now available with higher levels to follow shortly. To secure more information access
