Connecting Your Congregation to TJD Services
TJD has more ways than ever to connect your congregation to services it
needs. The District Staff and the Healthy Congregation Consulting Team
stands ready to work with you in a number of areas.
- Transitions when a minister or religious educator leaves or is
hired, such as start-up, exit and transition interviews
- Religious Education Visioning and Covenanting
- Covenanting Sessions
- Trainings by congregational size
- Conflict management and consultation
- Lay leadership development
- New congregation development
- Sabbatical consultation
- Fundraising
- Congregational planning and Board retreats
- Welcoming Congregation
- Anti-racism
How do you connect with a District consultant and services? Have your
minister, religious educator, or congregation president contact District
staff: Qiyamah A. Rahman or Laurel Amabile. They will work with you to
assess your needs, choose a date for the on-site consultation, and find an
available consultant who will meet the needs of your congregation.
There is a $150 per day consultant honorarium. TJD covers all other
expenses. Many congregations used district consulting services over the
past year with much success. It is a great way to get your congregation
energized about new ideas, and it helps give a healthy perspective to the
work you are doing.
Please remember and use the services provided by the District. We are here
to serve you!
