Eventually a church becomes so dependent on rental income that the needs of tenants rather than mission drive the budget process. Bandy says this passive pattern of congregational outreach causes harm to the congregation's vitality rather than strengthen it.
"Never raise money for a mission without gathering a team to do the mission."

Focus on and articulate core values, mission and vision
Design strategies for motivating and inspiring the congregation to pursue its vision and live out its mission.
