How the Guest-Speaker List service works
The District will...
- Provide a speaker-registration form at its website
- Periodically request speakers provide updated information
- Maintain the Guest Speaker listing -- adding new entries; and removing listings of those no longer participating
- Periodically publicize the availability of the Guest Speaker List inviting new speakers to participate and alerting congregations of its availabililty
- Provide a FAQ Sheet and a Booking Checklist
The Speakers will...
- Complete a Speaker Registration form (Word)
- Agree to provide three references
- Agree to update their registration information at least once a year
If you are a UU Minister or employed by a UU organization, please follow their guidelines for accepting speaking engagements
Those searching for a speaker will...
- Review the Guest Speaker list and contact the speakers directly to discuss availability and topics; and negotiate any fees and provide event details
- As needed, contact the speaker's references
- Provide the speaker with event details, maps, travel directions, special requirements, contact phone numbers, etc.
- Provide feedback to the Speaker Program sponsors (TJD Communication-Council)
